The mechanical engineering department from the day of its inception it has been taking long strides in the field of science and engineering. one of the oldest and active departments, it anticipated the rapid developments in technology and software and provided the most sophisticated lab facilities and excellent infrastructure. The students are trained in various aspects of mechanical engineering to meet out the needs of today's industries with the help of well qualified dedicated and enthusiastic teaching staff.

Lab Facilities
CAD Lab
The CAD lab has 33 Workstations with 15' color Monitors and 128 MB DDR RAM. The lab also has advanced modelling and analysis softwares like pro-(WILDFIRE),ADAMS, ANSYS 8.0,Autodesk Inventor series Mechanical desktop,Autocad 2004.

Thermal Engineering Lab
The heat power lab has IC engines,viscometers,compressors,wild tunnels ,Refrigeration and Air conditioning plant. Finite Element analysis of Engine components are given as projects to students.

CAM Lab
The students are exposed to the latest manufacturing trends like CNC lathe, CNC milling with CNC simulators and CNC milling Simulators and CNC milling Simulators.

Machine Tool Lab
The machine tool lab has the latest lathe, shaping planning,drilling,milling,gear hobbing machines and training is given to help students gain knowledge in manufacturing skills.
