In order to operate these hi-tech equipments, technicians have to be well trained - there is a great demand for these people in all hospitals.
Eligibility for Admissions :
A pass in PUC or equivalent examination with a minimum of 40% marks in optional subjects under science faculty such as PCB, PCMB, or CBZ.
Age Limit :
The candidate should have attained a minimum age of 17 years as on 31st December from the year of admission. The upper age limit is 40 years, but for in-service candidates this rule can be relaxed.
Duration of the Course :
Two years from the commencement of the term. Admission can be made in a year either in June or January.
Scheme of Examination :
There shall be two examinations- one at the end of the first year called as Preliminary Examination and the other at the end of the second year - the final examination. Both the examination shall be conducted by the Para Medical Board.
No student whose name is not approved by the Para Medical Board will be allowed to take up the preliminary examination. A student without 75% attendance both in theory and particles during the course of the study will also not be allowed. However, a student can be promoted to study the second year if he has completed the first year study.
A certificate will be issued by the Para Medical Board to the successful candidate on completion of the final examinations.
