Karnataka Peoples Education society was started in the year 1976 with a view to establish educational institutions in the educationally and economically backward Hyderabad-Karnataka area .
It has championed the cause of education by starting more than twenty educational institutions in the four districts namely Gulbarga,Bidar,Raichur and Bangalore of the model state of Karnataka including primary schools,high schools,technical institutions and colleges.
Milind Institute of Pharmacy was started in the year 1983 to produce quality pharmacists with a diploma in pharmacy who could serve in community and hospital Pharmacy. After running successfully the diploma course in pharmacy for more than 8 years and encouraged by the good results obtained from the inception, it was decided to upgrade the institute to degree level. Government of Karnataka was pleased to sanction the B.Pharma degree course to Milind Institute of Pharmacy during 1991.
