What you'll learn on the course
No formal entry qualifications - all those interested in the course are welcome to apply. It is expected that most applicants will be those who are applying for a Personal Licence for the first time, although current employees, managers and tenants/lessees in all branches of the licensed trade will find the course most useful.Information about the course
The retail sale of intoxicating drinks cannot be undertaken without a Premises Licence and a Personal Licence. This course is designed for those people who intend to apply for their Personal Licence and consequently need to demonstrate their awareness of the responsibilities incumbent upon them as a Personal Licence Holder. This course runs on a monthly basis.Course content
The course covers licensing law as defined in the Licensing Act 2003 and the social responsibilities of the Personal Licence Holder.
The structure and content of the qualification has been produced by the Examining Body (BIIAB) in consultation with a wide body of opinion across Government departments, regulators and representatives from all sectors of the licensed retail industry.
When will I receive my results?
Results will be forwarded on as soon as they are received at the college. Please note that certificates, where awarded, can take up to 4 months to be received at the college before forwarding on to learners.
