Reviews on National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology

Description
Foundry and Forge Industries play vital role in the industrial development of the country. There is a great shortage of qualified engineers and well-trained specialists to run these manufacturing industries efficiently. Seized of this problem and to provide the requisite quality of trained man power at different levels, Govt. of India set up the National Institute of Foundry and Forge Technology in the year 1966 in collaboration with UNDP-UNESCO.
During the last four decades NIFFT has earned a reputation as a leading institute for teaching, training,
research & development, consultancy and documentation and information retrieval services in metal casting and metal forming technology.
With the globalization of the market, competitiveness in industries has increased tremendously. Only those industries would survive which are energy efficient and eco-friendly; produce casting and forging with internationally acceptable quality at competitive price; and meets delivery schedule. In view of the above, the institute has evolved a rolling perspective plan for next 20 years and redefined goals and objectives of the Institute. The vision statement of the Institute, now, read as: "Accomplishing excellence in technical education and act as leader for creating, acquiring and disseminating state-of-art knowledge and expertise in foundry forge and allied fields."
