History

Nitte Education Trust, established in 1979, is a well-known leader in higher education. Nitte Education Trust was founded by the committed philanthropist and legal luminary Justice KS Hegde who strongly believed that education was pivotal to the overall progress of a community. The group includes the well-known industrialist- Mr. NV Hegde and eminent educationist- Dr. NR Shetty (twice Vice-Chancellor of Bangalore University and presently President of ISTE)

Description

NSOM's PGDM program is integrated with Action Learning Projects, classroom teaching with real-life situations which makes it distinct from rest of the programs offered by many B-Schools. At NSOM, we focus on "learning by doing," not just classroom, sitting, but actually going into the real world and applying the tools and concepts to real business situations. Theory, learnt in classroom sessions, is tested in real-life situations through industry projects and interaction with practitioners. In class, students learn the skills of effective decision making through case studies describing business problems/situations. An integral part of our curriculam is an Action Learning Projects, which gives you a chance to apply the skills you have learned in the classroom and work as part of a small team focused on solving current business problem for a real company. 2 years of experience at NSOM will fetch you leadership skills for a lifetime.At NSOM, we know that excelling in the rapidly changing world of business is the greatest challenge organizations are facing today.
