PG Diploma in Clinical Linguistics for SLP

Clinical Linguistics is a field of linguistics that deals with the application of linguistic principles to communication disabilities in general and clinical settings in particular. It involves inter-disciplinary study among the various disciplines and sub-disciplines such as speech and language pathology, linguistics behavior sciences like clinical psychology, education among others, aimed at studying language development and disorders in specific clinical settings. The course will equip the speech-Language pathologists to assess, diagnose and plan intervention programs for communication problems in the Indian context. More appropriately it will also prepare the candidates to undertake inter-disciplinary research in the areas of speech, language and cognition.
The admissions shall be in accordance with the merit-cum-reservation policy of the Central Government (combined merit list for SC & ST). Selection is on All India Basis. Clinical experience in the field of communication disorder will be given preference.
