Course programme

The technology of VLSI {Very Large Scale Integration} is emerged as a prominent technology in today's electronics. It features the manufacturing process of profound sub micron, low voltage operation, exploding speed & smart programmable devices suitable enough for digesting the ambient circumstances to limits. The world wide electronics industry is rapidly approaching the other revolutionary leap in the international market scenario. The technology of Semi-conductor has crossed the quarter-micron thresholds, by making 10 of millions of transistor available on a single chip which is well equipped with the powerful arms of VLSI designing. This will pass on the electronic industry a potential of creating the design of incredible densities & lightning speed while using the batteries for powering them. This will have a prominent affect on wide-spread application variety from consumer electronic, communication, & defense for about everything.

Course Objective:

The Post graduate Diploma in VLSI and Embedded Hardware Design is planned to convey training in the designing complex digital system with the use of integrated circuit cells such as building blocks & employing hierarchical designing methods. Focus of the teaching curriculums is on the designing methodology & practicable application. The program content is designed while keeping in mind the latest trends in the area of VLSI designing technology & latest requirement for skilled manpower.
Course outcome:

This program is focusing more on providing the candidates knowledge in Designing of Digital Systems, System Architecture, and Hardware description Language essential for VLSI Designing like VHDL & Verilog. Candidates can learn how to program & test program on FPGAs, CPLDs etc. Candidates will get enough exposure to Various ASIC Design Issues, CMOS Technology, VLSI Design techniques.

B.E./B.Tech in Electronics/Electronics and Communication/Electrical/Instrumentation and Computer Science or M.Sc (Electronic).
