We have launched an autonomous Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program approved by AICTE. The Curricula is indigenous with close bearing to industry rudiment in order to conduct the programs in such a way that would enable the students to develop a strong conceptual foundation
o to prepare the students for the rigorous challenges of corporate world and entrepreneurship with global perspective
o to develop respect towards ethical practices and social responsibility
Students need to stay abreast of the latest strategies and techniques to find suitable employment in a difficult market. Organizations are hard pressed to find the people who have the right conceptual foundations, analytical skills and application abilities to help them attain and maintain the crucial competitive edge. The Post Graduate Diploma in Management Programme has been designed to fulfill this vital need of both students and employing organizations. PCMT has designed a course with in-built value-addition to address the above issues.
The programmes are delivered with a four- pronged approach :
Firstly, the curriculum focuses on strong concept building of General Management Studies and the concentration areas of Marketing Management, Finance, HRM, IT, International Business and Operations Management.
Secondly, the ongoing rigorous professional skill training that boosts up the confidence and employability of the students
Thirdly, the practical exposure to students in the form of task based organizational study and a final dissertation project
Finally, several opportunities of further corporate exposure by way of workshops, guest lectures, industry visits, live projects etc. from organizations of repute.
For a holistic Personality Development program, on a continuing basis, PCMT engages in-house and professional trainers from reputed organizations. PCMT facilitates Live Projects in collaboration with the corporate to provide more real-world exposures to students.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
In coordination with the Department of Training & Development, several Augmentation programs such as Pre-placement training, workshops, Industry visits, guest lectures are organized on regular basis.
a. Internships and Live Projects
In coordination with the Department of Corporate & Public Relations, the Internships and the live projects are offered to the students in the areas of their interest. This ultimately results in building up Industry exposure, and the employability of the students increases enormously.
b.Management Skill Development programmes
Students organize Management Skill Development Programmes which include Group Discussions, Case Analysis, Mock Interviews, Quize, Product Launch, Business Plans, and Seminars on burning Economic & Business issues, and any other innovative idea that the students put forward.
c. Industry Surveys
Students organize surveys in the Industrial Areas and help enterprises identify the problem areas and provide possible suggestions and recommendations.
d. Community Services
Students are given opportunity to organize several community service programmes in Collaboration with the PCMT Cell. The main objective of this Cell is to extend a helping hand to the under-privileged and needy.
