PGP in Agri-Business & Plantation Management
ABPM Professional Management Course aims at providing management education to the entrants in the plantation and associated agri-business sector. The course is aimed at combining the grass-root action with global competition and equips the students for managerial positions in Agri - Industries Management. Accordingly, the course equips the students with the latest ideas and techniques in management and technology. Students undergoing this course can expect better opportunities of career advancement. Further, as individuals they would be better equipped to provide future leadership to the industry. Organizations also benefit substantially from the professional expertise acquired by the students through this course, based on an ‘accelerated’ learning approach’ to acquire and sharpen their managerial skills. The course is divided into 6 classroom trimesters covering 117 credits including Corporate Training Segment of 12 weeks. It integrates technical, functional, managerial and leadership aspects of management with a fusion of skills, techniques, qualities and values. The course is customized to the requirement of the industry. The customization of various courses is ensured through plantations and associated agri-business related case studies, field visits including “camping out” for sensitizing the students.
