This college offers number of courses, one of the course is Ph.D. in Biochemistry.

The institute is also active in research in various fields of modern medicine & health and medical education. A research council at institute level looks after the research activities and there is a scientific society which provides forum for presentation of the research work. A number of conferences, workshops, seminars and training courses are conducted by the institute every year. Funds for research come from mural and extramural sources like ICMR, UGC, DBT, WHO, etc.

The research activities conduct by the course is :

-Oxidative stress and protein glycation in health and diseases(DAE Funded)

-Role of insulin and thyroid hormones in pathogenesis of BPH.

-Alteration in Neural-immune interaction in thyroid dysfunction.

-Impact of introducing PBL on clinical biochemistry skill of M.Sc. (Med Biochem) students.

-Development of computer programs for teaching clinical biochemistry.

-Immunotoxicity of pesticide poisoning in human cases.
