Evaluation of Indigenous to Shimoga ,Gulbarga and Sandur Areas of the State of Karnataka in India for Activity against skin Diseases
Development of new pollution free addition agents for industrial zinc plating by electrochemical study
solar energy based electrochemical recovery of heavy metals from industrial effluents-an eco friendly process


The department has produced more than 30 Ph.D and 3 M.Phils. The research work carried out so for in the department has been published in 100 research papers of National and International repute.

The department with collaboration of the department of Industrial Chemistry has been selected for FIST programme by DST, New Delhi. Under this programme Rs.22 lakhs has been sanctioned and very useful instruments like, IR, UV Spectro Photometer, electronic balances, viscometer and computers have been procured and placed in" Central Instrumentation Room" . The department has received one HPLC Instrument worth Rs. 12 lakhs as donationation by stefel laboratories UK.
