Ph.D in Herbal Research

The research focuses on isolation of molecules of herbal drugs as part of pharmacological studies. Such research provides a genuine interest in the phytopharmaceuticals. This area focuses on research in various aspects such as biogenesis of secondary metabolites of pharmaceutical importance, herbal cosmetics, neutraceuticals, extraction, isolation, standardization, traditional drugs and ayurvedic preparations etc.

The research programs initiated include Pharmacognostical and phytochemical studies of some selected medicinal plants, Studies on herbal cosmetics, Antimitotic activity of some medicinal plants and antidiabetic activity of phytochemicals.
