Ph.D in Library and Information Science (Part Time)

The Department of Library and Information Science started in the year 2006. Since May 2006, the department offers B.L.I.Sc one year programme and M.L.I.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D from the Academic year 2007 - 08. The Department is providing hands - on training to the students according to the modern technological advancements in the field of library and information science. It is focusing specialization in the area of Classification, Cataloguing, Digital Library and Softwares, Electronic Resources and Management, Library Automation and Networking, Routine Library Activities, User Study, Metric Studies, Marketing of Information Products and Services, DBMS, Knowledge Management etc. Syllabus: Semester I - Entrance Test and Interview Doctoral Committee Course Work
