Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Chemistry

The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences also offered Ph.D. programmes in four major disciplines- Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmaceutics, Pharmacology and Pharmacognosy.

After post graduation, the candidates may further pursue research work (i.e. Ph.D. ) or they may join the R&D wings of Pharmaceutical industries. They would also find an opening in academics and other fields.

Pharmaceutical Chemistry section is engaged in research including synthesis of new, more potent, cheaper and safer drug molecules. Development of novel and better analytical methods for the existing drug molecules is also on the anvil.
