Any Post-graduate (with at-least 55% marks at M. Sc. Level) in chemistry, or related areas (Biochemistry, B. Tech./B. Pharm.) is eligible to apply. The admission to the programme is on the basis of the performance of the candidates in a written test and a viva-voce examination .

Course programme

The School of chemistry offers three academic programs. A completely research based Doctoral program (Ph. D.), a two year Masters degree program and a post graduate diploma in chemical analysis and quality management. The first two are full time programs of study, while the last is conducted in the distance education mode.

Doctor of Philosophy : The Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D.) programme is an open ended research program.
