The Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering course at School of Water Resources Engineering is primarily concerned with water related infrastructure in lakes, reservoirs, rivers & river basins, watershed development and its sustainable management, water supply system & conservation, enhancement of water use efficiency, water-system analysis, open channel flow & fluvial hydraulics, flow measurement and hydraulic engineering which are needed to enhance the beneficial and sustainable use of water, and to control water related problems in terms of quantity and quality. In this field of activity the stakeholders are plentiful, and usually represent a relatively complete cross-section of society: government agencies, public and private sector owners, planners, designers and implementers, professional associations, users of water and the public in general.
