Course programme

At the end of the academic year, successful candidates are awarded the Asian College of Journalism's prestigious Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism. Students' work is evaluated continuously throughtout the year, and there is no final examination. A specific number of credits is assigned to each course, and the student's performance in each is given a percentage mark. To qualify for the Postgraduate diploma in Journalism, students need a minimum Cumulative Average Percentage (CAP) of 50 per cent or B. 80% and aboce (A+) = First Division with Distinction; 75-79% (A) = First Divison; 65-74% (B+) = Upper Second Division; and 50-64% (B) = Second Division.
Students are expected to attend every lecture and workshop and to submit assignments on time. In a programme of this duration there is little opportunity for make-up work, and absences will be excused only in case of serious illness.
