About this course
Candidate for admission to this course should pass BPE / B.A./B.Sc./B.Com or equivalent examination from any University recognized by Barkatullah University / Association of Indian Universities.
Must have represented the college, district, state, university, nation in Inter-college / District / state / university / International competitions in one of the game or sports recognized by IOA / Central Government.
Should have secured atleast 45% marks in the qualifying Exam.
Shall be medically fit and free from any deformity.

Post Graduate Diploma in Physical Education
This is one-year course in Physical Education open to graduate only, which has been in existence since the inception of Physical Education in schools on a voluntary basis. This course covers theory and methodology of teaching Physical Education and Practical Course in Physical Education. Students admitted to the course are required take a test under all the 3 parts of the course viz. Theory, Methodology and skills at the end of their course. This training course qualifies a person to teach Physical Education and Sports in High/Secondary Schools.

PART I (THEORY)
Foundation of Physical Education.
Human Anatomy, Physiology and Human Motion.
Sports Management and Curriculum Design.
Health Education, Safety Education. First Aid and Rehabilitation.
Measurement and Evaluation and Methods in Physical Education.
Scientific Basis of Officiating and Coaching.
Practicals / Activities
There shall be four groups of Activities.
Group-I (Compulsory): Athletics, Gymnastics, Swimming/Light Apparatus, Teaching Practice.
Group-II: (Optional): Football, Hockey, Volleyball, Basketball, Handball, Cricket.
Group-III (Optional): Badminton, Tennis, Table-Tennis, Squash, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho.
Group-IV (Optional): Judo, Weight Lifting, Power Lifting,Wrestling, Boxing, Yoga, Archery, Shooting.
