Description

Designed for international students, the International Foundation Programme allows you to extend your existing academic qualifications, study skills and ability in English for direct entry to university. Studying the Social Sciences pathway, you take modules in Skills and Academic English and either English for Academic Study or complete a Project. You then focus specifically on Business and Business related modules. Based in Hong Kong, the programme is equivalent to our UK-based delivery in Canterbury.

Course programme

Course Content

You take the modules Skills and Academic English and either English for Academic Study or complete a Project.

The Skills and Academic English classes include, for example, developing your sense of responsibility in seminar/group work and as an independent student, improving your skills in time management, project management and individual responsibility towards learning, and developing your analytical and critical skills.

You also take the following modules:

  • Business
  • Economics
  • Maths and Statistics

Teaching is organised in small groups and includes lectures, seminars, tutorials, workshops, IT training and independent learning. Assessment is through a combination of exams and coursework.
