Course programme

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS ONLY A FRAMEWORK OF TOPICS FOR THE COURSE. THE TRAINING SCHEDULE IS TO BE ANNOUNCED AT A LATER DATE.

Project / Proposal Design

Are you familiar with the basics of project design? Can you create clear tasks with its responsibilities and goals? In this course, you will understand how to plan and design a project under time limitations and limited resources. You will comprehend objectives and the underlying factors of project plan using the Problem/Objective Tree as an analytical tool.

LogFrame

The LogFrame is another analytical tool that will help you to understand the organization of a project and its substructures by narrowing your project into individual tasks. It is key to designing, implementing, and monitoring your project. It will also assist in risk analysis.

Budgeting and Monitor & Evaluation

Do you have a difficult time with budgeting? This course will introduce a comprehensive method for incomes, expenses, salaries, assets, and costs. In a team exercise, you will learn to develop a budget based on objectives, activities, and resources.

Project Risk Management

All projects have conditions such as time limits, budget allocations, and other specifications. You will understand the complexity of certain projects, and learn to best utilize the duration of your project. You may be confronted with insufficient resources or internal problems in the office or with partner organizations. This course will help you analyze the risk of your project and judge its success, and pinpoint the biggest threats to its efficiency.

Additional information

More than just security assessment or risk evaluation, HDFF instructs staff on project planning and design, budgeting, problem analysis, and other management skills.  HDFF has worked with participants from UNOPS, Oxfam, World Vision, Save the Children, Plan International, and more.  Many NGOs offer assistance to provide their employees with proper training in their career, so HDFF also provides an Early Bird Discount to those who register for the program.
