Research Project on Renewable Energy Sources for Agriculture and Agro-based Industries - Operational Research Component

There is an extension scheme namely All India Coordinated Research Project on Renewable Energy Sources for Agriculture and Agro-based Industries - Operational Research Component. The Project aims to demonstrate technical soundness and economic viability of the available renewable energy technologies in general, and those developed in the project, in particular. The department has been involved in the demonstration of modified Janta type biogas plant, modified Deenbandhu type biogas plant, domestic solar dryers, solar water heaters, farm solar dryers etc. to the farmers.
