Year 1 - CertHE Modules may include: What is Culture? Scottish History,1066-1603 Languages of the Highlands and Islands Scottish History,1603-20th Century Plus two option modules from other humanities degrees Year 3 - BA Modules may include: An Interdisciplinary Project or Historiographical Essay One fixed option from either Scottish Cultural Studies or Scottish History Plus four option modules from either Scottish Cultural Studies or Scottish History Year 2 - DipHE Modules may include: Images of Scotland The Scottish Highlands Language, Culture and Identity Scotland, the North Sea and the Baltic Plus two option modules from other humanities degrees Year 4 - BA (Hons) Students in fourth year will undertake a dissertation in one of the two joint degree subjects. You will also study four option modules, which may include: A Society at War? Scotland,1296-1403 Culture and Christianity in the Highlands and Islands,1742-1893 Noble, Rebel, King: Bruce and Medieval Scotland Merchants, Mariners and Maritime Marauders: Scottish Trade in the Early Modern Period Visual Research Scottish Tradition in Philosophy Contemporary Scottish Poetry Editing Older Scots
