Description
The first president of the Somaiya Vidyavihar, the late Chief Justice of India N.H. Bhagwati, summed up its ideals in the following statement:
'The Vidyavihar must strive for an education that will not merely lead to the intellectual development of the individual but will also make his life and personality fuller and richer; it should not merely concentrate on developing intellectual faculties and talent but also satisfying and fulfilling his most important urges: ethical, aesthetic and spiritual; it must in short, strive at imparting education that would develop an integrated personality.'
