Shri Shivaji Vidya Prasarak Sansthas Bapusaheb Shivajirao Deore College of Engineering, Dhule (renamed in August 1996), formerly Shri Shivaji Vidya Prasarak Sansthas College of Engineering, Dhule, was established in 1983, under the inspiration of Founder Chairman Late Shri Bapusaheb Shivaji Raimal Deore, with the intention of providing technical education to the aspiring and eligible candidates of the state and the region. Then since 1988 the college excelled in all directions under the chairmanship of Hon. Subhash S. Deore.
Since its inception, the institute has made a significant progress. Initially in 1983, the institute started Bachelor of Engineering course with the two traditional branches of Civil Engineering and Electronics Engineering with intake of 60 in each branches. It was initially affiliated to Poona University. After the establishment of North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon in 1990, the institute was affiliated to the new University. The institute is approved by AICTE. In 1986 Mechanical Engineering branch was introduced with intake of 60. In view of the increasing importance of the Computer Engineering and Electronics Engineering discipline, in 1988 Computer Engineering branch was introduced with intake of 60 and intake of Electronics Engineering was revised to 120. As a commitment to the society and its role in the emerging Information technology era, in 1999 Electronics and Communication branch was started with an intake of 60, intake of Computer Enginee
