Background
In the liberalised insurance market, training of the agents has acquired critical importance. On the one hand, the IRDA regulations stipulate a minimum training programme before recruitment and renewal of licence. On the other hand, the competitive market compels insurer to equip the field workers with relevant information and skills to improve productivity. Hence, the role of the trainers has acquired very high importance.
Objectives
At the end of the programme the participants would be able to :
• Clearly understand the importance of their role in the competitive environment
• Analyse the training requirements of the field force both from the regulatory perspective and for gaining competitive advantage
• Enable them to design suitable training programmes for agents / Development Officers at different levels of their career
