FOR MET: Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Competence; Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair Mechanical, Electrical and Trim (MET) Principles.

FOR PANEL: Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair Body Competence; Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair Body Principles.

FOR BODY REFINISHING: Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair Paint Competence; Level 2 Diploma in Vehicle Accident Repair Paint Principles.


Requirements: English Language GCSE Grade E or Functional Skill Level 1; Maths GCSE Grade E or Functional Skill Level 1; ICT GCSE Grade E or Functional Skill Level 1.

Course programme

The objectives of this framework are to:

  1. provide micro businesses, which account for around 85% of businesses in the Automotive Retail Industry, with access to a quality training programme to help their businesses grow;
  2. provide opportunities for career progression within Vehicle Body and Paint and into management in the wider Automotive Retail Industry;
  3. after further development and training, provide further and higher education for those who choose to do so.
Course Assessment Method

You will be assessed using a range of methods such as; Direct observation of tasks or activities, examination of work products produced by learners (e.g. diary notes, site notes, completed reports), examination of witness testimonies from people, other than the assessor, who are prepared to provide statements detailing specific details of learners’ performance, review of records of ‘question and answer’ sessions covering specific aspects of the knowledge and understanding and Professional discussion. All of these assessment methods will build your portfolio of evidence.
