Background
Motor Insurance forms a largest market share in developing countries including India. Though the volumes are significant, Motor Portfolio is often a loss-making in many of the markets. Analysis shows that the third party liability claims are single handed & contributing to losses and are also exposed to large number of fraudulent claims. Because of the significant impact, it has become imperative for insurance companies to manage motor third party claims effectively so that it does not impact the overall profitability of the company.
