Course programme

It is an offspring of electronics and communication engineering. The syllabus of AEI is advanced and updated and is designed in such a way to get a judicious blend of theory, practical & good management practices to keep pace with emerging scenario of 21st century. The course opens new vistas and dimensions for the graduates to pursue with ease and confidence any assignment entrusted to them.

The curriculum involves the complete knowledge about electronics, as it is the basic need of any industry. It also includes analog and digital comm. and advanced comm. techniques such as optical comm., wireless and mobile comm., satellite comm., ISDN etc. It includes instrumentation, as it is a technology of measurement, which serves not only science but also all branches of engineering, medicine, and almost every human endeavor.

Laboratories

The department has eight laboratories, which are categorized as:

  1. Applied Electronics Lab
  2. Electronic Circuits Lab
  3. Electronic Measurement and Instrumentation Lab
  4. Electrical and Electronic Measurement Lab
  5. Electronic Instrumentation Lab
  6. Integrated Circuit Lab
  7. Control System Lab
  8. Microprocessor and Micro controller Lab
  9. Telematics Lab

All our laboratories are equipped with the latest state of art equipments along with the advanced trainer units.

Applied Electronics Lab

This lab is set-up to give the students an idea of the various electronic devices such as p-n junction diode, zener diode, bipolar junction transistors, FET's etc. In this lab they learn to analyze all the devices by using them as a circuit element. The main purpose of this lab is to provide the students a clear understanding and intuitive feeling of the behavior and characteristics of all the semiconductor and electronic devices, which would not be possible through theory.

Integrated Circuit Lab

Electrical and Electronic Measurement Lab

Measurement lab in AEI deptt. is established to provide students the practical, elementary as well as comprehensive knowledge about instrumentation. It involves both electrical and electronic measurements. A wide variety of sensors and transducers viz. RTD's, strain gauges, thermocouples, LVDT, ultrasonic Transmitter- Receiver based distance meter, stroboscope form an integral part of the laboratory set-up. Besides this, the devices like Q-meter, Desauty's and Anderson bridges, D.C potentiometer, ballistic galvanometer, solar cell based educational kit are also available in the lab. The highlight of this lab is that, we are using very sensitive devices like spot reflecting galvanometer and vibration galvanometer for performing experiments.
