Before man painted paintings or cast sculptures, he is said to have built buildings. Architecture, then is perhaps the oldest art form man has known and practiced. Architecture is the skill or art of designing buildings that serve a purpose. The creative tension between form and function is inescapable in architecture and the architect has to balance these two with deftness. For this reason alone, study of architecture is as exciting a career as it is satisfying.

The department's program is guided by the norms of AICTE and Council of Architecture. Practicing architects are on the teaching faculty to acquaint the students with practical problems of Architecture and the latest developments in the field. The college provides all facilities and assistance to the students to participate actively in NASA and other activities of architectural interest and importance.

The Department has full-fledged facilities to conduct studios, seminars, exhibitions and a material's museum that houses a collection of all types of building materials. A separate departmental library is provided with latest books on all aspects of Architecture. It is providence that great architectural monuments such as Golgumbaz, Ibrahim Roza and Jamia Masjid etc., which are of world-class significance are in close proximity to the Department. These monuments inspire the students for their style of Architecture and marveling construction.
