Electrical Machines Lab

Students can conduct experiments on various electrical machines and observe their performance. It will help the students to follow the theoretical part of the subject well. The Electrical Machines lab is well equipped with DC motors of all kinds. Generator motor sets, Squirrel cage and Slip Ring Inductors motors, Salient and Non-salient pole Alternators, Synchronous motors and Transformers etc.,

Microprocessor and Microcontroller lab

Purpose of this lab is to familiarize students with 8085 microprocessor kits and do various programs using it. Intel 8051 microcontroller kit with keyboard interface is also available in the lab.

Power Electronics lab

Students can experiment the working of various power electronics circuits such as rectifiers, inverters, converters, choppers etc.,
The lab is equipped with single phase half and fully controlled Bridge Rectifier kits, single phase series inverter and cycloconverter kits, chopper drives for speed control of DC motor, Three phase fully controlled thyristor converter kits, MOSFET & IGBT kits.

Linear and Digital integrated circuits lab

This lab is meant to give indepth knowledge for students about various Analog and Digital integrated circuits. They can realise various logic circuits like gates, flip flops, registers etc and observe their working of these circuits.

Various equipments in the lab are Digital & Analog IC trainer, Flip flop, counter and Shift Register study kits, Linear and Digital integrated chips, Dual trace Cathode Ray Oscilloscope, Digital & Analog IC tester etc.,

Electrical workshops

This lab is meant to give basic knowledge to students about various types of wiring, PCB design and winding of electrical machines.

The lab is equipped with winding study motor, insulation and earth tester, Transformer oil testing kits, motor and Transformer coil winding machine etc.,

Measurement & Instrumentation lab

This lab will help the students to get experience in measuring various Electrical quantities like voltage, current, resistance, inductance, capacitance etc., Non-electrical quantities like temperature, pressure etc can be measured using transducers.

The lab contains various equipments like PID controller kit, AC & DC Bridges, Transducers of various types etc.,

Electron Devices and circuits lab

The lab will give ideas of basic electron devices to students. They can realize various circuits using diodes, transistors etc., and study the characteristics.
The lab is well equipped with instruments and equipments like Dual Trace, Oscilloscope, Function generators. Pulse generator, SCR characteristics kit, DC regulated power supplies etc.,
