Course programme

The main focus of electrical engineering course is to create awareness and impart deep intensive knowledge of basic concepts of electrical technology used in the industry .This knowledge provides the firm footings for budding engineers to solve the problems arising in the areas of power generation, transmission and distribution .The department looks after the interest of students in developing the logical concepts and ability to convert the theoretical knowledge into analyzing and resolving the problems.

The department also shows a gateway for prestigious jobs in government and private sector industry .The curriculums of electrical engineering includes a wide coverage of subjects having a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the area of network measurement , controls, instrumentations, power electronics, electrical machine design (CAD) , microprocessor electromechanical energy etc. The application of advance software like MATLAB , SIMULATION lab, P- SPICE in control lab is also taught to the students by making them working for electrical network, VSI& CSI techniques are incorporated in electrical drives laboratories. Various controllers like PI, PD ,PID, linear simulators, magnetic amplifiers are established in laboratories to support practical knowledge. The facilities like advance machine lab facilitates parallel operations of alternators, transformer and various experiments of D.C. machines make them more confident in evaluating their skills .A three phase fault detector, a cable fault locator and a transmission line simulator is being used in power system laboratory, so as to supplement theoretical knowledge with the practical learning.
