B.E - MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Easwari Engineering College was instituted in the academic year 1996 -1997, with the Approval of Government of Tamil Nadu and AICTE, New Delhi. The College is affiliated to Anna University Chennai since 2002.The College provides various graduate and post graduate engineering courses.The Department of Mechanical Engineering was started in the academic year 2003-2004. The Department offers 4 years (8 Semesters) B.E. (Mechanical Engineering) degree program of Anna University.The present annual intake of the Department is 30 students in the first year of the 4 years B.E. degree program. In addition, 10% of the initial intake i.e. 6 students having Diploma in Mechanical Engineering are permitted to join in the 2 nd year of the program (Lateral Entry). In tune with the growing demand profile globally for Mechanical Engineering, the intake level was enhanced to 120 in the year 2008 - 2009 and onwards
