B.Ed. Special Education Distance Education programme

The B.Ed. Special Education Distance Education programme was established by the Madhya Pradesh Bhoj (Open) University and the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). It is recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India. The course aims to:

* develop professionals for Special Education within a broad perception of Education in the 21st Century.
* define mental retardation and its characteristics
* develop evaluation techniques and plan individual educational plans
* analyse the psycho-social implications of mental retardation

There are many other aspects to the course. It is non-residential and lasts a minimum of 18 months, but can be extended to a maximum of 38 months.
