Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri College started operating as a coeducational college from the year 1965. The college is affilitated with Calcutta University. The Hons course was introduced from 1991-1992. Since then the College has tried and maintained a high standard of education system . A number of programmes like Orientation Course, Refresher Course, Workshops, Symposia etc have been introduced by the College to upgrade the teaching standard. The seminar library has a total number of 558 books which are equally used by the teachers and the students. The library has 228 text books and 330 reference books.
