B.A (Hons) Business Economics (BBE)

B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics programme equips students with professional tools and impart sufficient knowledge in various fields such as economics, management, finance, marketing etc. With time, B.A. (Hons.) Business Economics has become one of the most sought after courses in the university.

Students of our college have consistently excelled at both academics and extra curricular activities. During the past years, our students have notched top positions in the university. They have secured admissions in prestigious post graduate courses like M.B.E., M.B.A. and M.A. (Economics). Seminars are organized on the topics of Business and contemporary interest. This gives the students a chance to look beyond academics. Various topics include Stock Markets, Insurance, and Corporate Governance etc. The department organizes group discussion workshops to impart proper guidance for the same. The department also organizes activities like quiz, extempore etc. Career Counselling sessions by professionals are held to educate students about opportunities ahead.

Industrial trips give an opportunity to the students to look at the practical aspects of the industry and analyze all the theoretical concepts. In the past, the students have visited Surya Roshni Ltd, The Minda group, Gold Plus Himachal Safety Glass, Ruchira Paper Mills among others.

BBE students have been well placed at multinationals and leading corporate. Capital IQ, DTZ, E Value Serve, Hewitt India, Reliance Life Insurance, Gopal Group, BIFM, Adroit Financial Services and many more hired our students in 2007-08.

The three year full time degree course of B.A. (Honours) Business Economics has been split into six semesters.
