B.A. Music

The course started in the year 1995 with two years foundation course equivalent to Pre-degree. In 1997 B.A. Degree Course with triple main - Sanskrit, Music and Violin/Mridangam was introduced. In 1999, the B.A. Degree Course was restructured as Music Main (Core), Sanskrit and Violin/Mridangam as Inter Disciplinary subjects. The first batch of B.A. Degree students successfully came out in the year 2000. On July 15, 2002, the first batch of M.A. students got admitted. The strength of P.G. Course is 10. The P.G. Course introduced in the University is the first to start with credit semester system. The Integrated M.Phil/Ph.D. Course in Music was started in January 2005.
