B.Sc Fashion and Apparel Design

The 3 year graduate program aims to explore the fashion industry right from the process of creating a garment from design to production, the aesthetic aspects of display and marketing.
The curriculum includes subjects like fashion illustration and elements of art which give a strong base in sketching and designing .Where as the subjects like pattern making ,garment construction and apparel production will expertise students to handle any kind of project in the fashion sector .Also the market knowledge secured through subjects like merchandising and sales promotion helps the students to compete anywhere in the field of textiles and fashion to enhance the fashion business. The highly equipped computer aided designing knowledge acquired by students help them to be absorbed by the huge textile firms and designing units. In a nut shell, the entire course will help them to become successful entrepreneurs.
The course integrates quality curriculum delivery with inputs from visiting expert designers, industrial visits, internships in textile mills and fashion houses. The design studio in the department provides the student with a hands on exposure to all aspects of the fashion & garment industry. The subjects in the study program delve into all spheres of Fashion Design & Technology to provide an in-depth knowledge & up-to-date skills in the rapidly developing areas of the industry.
