Mahan Institute of technologies offers B.SC (IT) from Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). The KSOU was established on 1st June 1996 vide Karnataka Government, Notification NO. ED 1 UOV95 dated 12th February 1996, KSOU Act 1992, keeping in view the educational needs of our country in general & the Karnataka state, in particular. It is the 8th Open University in the country.
It is also the member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) as well as Commonwealth Universities Association. It is also a recognized member university of Distance Education council (DEC), Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.
