B.Tech. Biotechnology Engineering

As a branch of engineering, a course in Biotechnology, to impart knowledge with emphasis on gene cloning, genomics and proteomics, and other basic molecular techniques, to provide students technical skills and hands-on training in bioprocess and downstream processing, chemical engineering and the application of computers in bio-technology. The student becomes well versed in tissue culture techniques - both plant and animal. Recombinant DNA technology, Enzyme Engineering and Fermentation Technology are the other areas of skills involved.
