The aim of the undergraduate program of the Electronics and Communication Department (ECE) is to provide the students with a solid scientific and technical background and research capabilities in the design, development, manufacturing of electronic devices and systems used in a wide spectrum of applications ranging from household appliances to most sophisticated satellite transponders, from electronic ignition to neural networks, to signal processing chips.

The graduates of ECE at IFET have easy access to many job opportunities in the fields of electronics and telecommunications industry, banking, computer manufacturing, software development, biomedical instrumentation, hardware designing and systems planning.
