B.Tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering


Department of ECE has started its initiation in 2007 with an intake of 66 students per year & approved by AICTE, New Delhi. The focus of the programme is mainly on Digital Circuits, Communication Systems, microwave etc. The curriculum is so designed as to give adequate on the digital processing of information for efficient communication over noisy channels. In tune with the above objective, the syllabus features core course VLSI design, DSP architectures & systems, Microwave components & circuits, satellite communication, photonic devices & systems, giving a balanced coverage of the theory & practice of modern communication engineering.

Vision:

* To inculcate a spirit of entrepreneurship in our students and help Indian industry to do cutting edge research and development in ECE.

o To create and nature competent Engineers who would be enterprise leaders in all parts of the world with the aim of reaching the stars and touching the sky and yet feet firmly planted on the ground.

Challenges:

* To set up an International visibility and attract a large number of Visiting faculty and students at all levels.

o To uphold convergence of knowledge, information, technology and skills.
o To develop Electronics & Communication Engineers with a global perception.

The analog & digital electronics circuits have grown enormously in complexity & functionality in this IT age. To cope up with this trend, knowledge & experience on the use of computer-aided design automation tools have become mandatory. VLSI design provides just that to aspiring undergraduates from all branches. VLSI design lab has being developed in the college premises with a built up area of 201.81 sq.m with the state of art technology with modern & latest equipment.

The department is also developing microwave laboratory with a built up area of 201.81 sq.m to have an excellent knowledge about microwaves to the students.

The department has been involving in the academic curricular & co-curricular activities for the development of the college. Department has a major strengths of continuous upgrading of laboratories, self motivated, committed & enthusiastic staff-members. Department of ECE is perspicuity in policy making, executing & monitoring of academic programs.

A part from these lab's the department is also developing a simulation lab for each & every experiment, so the student can have more design aspects knowledge when comparing it with hardware results.

A salient feature of the academic activities in the Department is that the students as well as the faculty members are provided with ample opportunities for their professional growth.

Invited talks and guest lectures are also being arranged for the benefit of students and staff.

Teaching: Excellence and innovation in the conveyance of knowledge in all its forms, to enhance scholarship, communication skills, and critical and creative thinking among students.
