B.TECH in Information Technology

The Course in Information Technology aims to produce graduates who satisfy the computing needs of industry, government and business. Students develop theoretical and practical knowledge of computer technologies, programming, and information systems analysis and design. Students take one or more of three majors, each with a different focus. The system development major focuses on the analysis of user requirements and the design, development and management of computer-based information systems and applications. The business systems major focuses on the use of computers and information systems to solve complex problems in business and government organisations. Students graduate with a capacity to relate their university studies to the world of business.
