B.Tech. Information Technology
The department of Computer Science and Information Technology was started in the year 1999. The department has students from all parts of the country and world. The students are very much interested in learning the latest technologies in computer field. We have well experienced staff members and a well equipped lab. The students are allowed to use the lab at any time. We have setup even a seperate lab for Internet Browsing, which functions 24 hrs.

Computer Library
The Department has an enormous digital library and information center consisting of 5000 books and subscribes to 110 National and International journal on Computer Science and informatics and has a database of international journal abstracts on CD-ROM's.
Computer Laboratory
Four Computer Centers are set up in the department with centralized air-condition. The Lab has 200 Pentium III System, LAN, NT Server, LINUX and Windows 2000. Keeping in pace with the latest IT Technology the Department provides internet facility to the students.
Department Activities
The Department has its own advisory committee comprising of academicians, industrialists and others relevant to the subject of study. The department regularly interacts with the industry and conducts projects, extra lectures and seminars.
Association
The department has always been the most active department in the institute with associations like the CSE Association - CYCLONE - and IT Association - SPIRIT. The association is an active wing of the department, which conducts seminars, lectures and quiz on technical issues. The association conducts regular industrial visits to introduce the students to the actual working environment.
Peripherals and interface Laboratory
For conducting experiments on peripherals and interface techniques, the department has well - equipped lab. The lab is equipped with micro-85, micro-86, Power I, Power II, Star 85, micro controller kit, add on cards to be used with Power I kits and also PCL types. Students are well trained in Programming using different interfacing cards.
