B.Tech. (Mechanical)

The Jamia Milia Islamia offers B.Tech. (Mechanical) to its students.

State of art laboratories like Automation and Computer Integrated manufacturing have been established in the department which consist of Robots with linear slide base, conveyor belt, feeder, VSRS, CNC Lathe, CNC Milling, computers, PLC connected through LAN and the different Software’s like OPEN-CIM, STARTURN, STARMILL, ROBO-ATS etc. supplied by ESHED ROBOTIC INC (U.S.A) and DENFORD (U.K). This has the potential of interacting with industries and can take up consultancy.

The department has highly qualified and dedicated faculty members. The department has laboratories namely Fluid Mechanics, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Heat Transfer, IC Engine, Automobile, Machine Dynamics, Strength of Materials, Instrumentation-Control, Industrial Engg, Work Measurement, and Mobile Vibration-Noise Research Unit which are equipped with modern equipments/instruments. In addition to this the department has full-fledged workshop which is spread over many basic and advanced shops. The workshop of the department is fully equipped with modern machines, tools, equipments and measuring instruments.
