The Department offers course to provide the students with a sound knowledge in the area of Engg. for the current need of modern Industries. The course curriculum is at par with that of the premier Institutions of the country. Moreover, laboratories and workshops are fully equipped with advanced equipments via TURRET and CAPSTAN LATHES, C N C Machining centre, Gas Turbine laboratory. Major emphasis is laid on two-way traffic of Industry-Institute relationship and frequent training and educational tours. The projects are offered in the areas of Mechanical Engg. so that the students could be acquainted with the emerging areas of research suitable for the industrial applications. The Department claims to have a gas turbine laboratory that is a unique acquisition to the institute, not to be found in any other Engg. colleges of Bihar.ENERGY PARK is proposed to be established on the campus at the instance of BREDA, Government of Bihar.
