It requires a solid understanding of key concepts including mechanics, kinematics thermodynamics and energy. Mechanical engineers use these principles in design and analysis of Automobiles, aircraft, Heating and cooling systems, Manufacturing plants, Industrial equipments and machinery medical devices and more.

The Mechanical Department of this college has established various laboratories such as Mechanical Engineering Workshop, fluid Mechanics lab. Thermal Science Lab, Production Engineering Lab and CAD/CAM Lab. There are tremendous job opportunities for Mechanical Engineers in industries such as Automobiles, Aircrafts, Railways, Marine, Power plants, and Machine tools. Industrial engineering and management etc. apart from software, New Technology developments such as CAD/CAM, Robotics, Biomechanics and nano Technology also offer great opportunities and scope for Mechanical engineers. Well-equipped mechanical workshop provides training facility in the machine shop, fitting shop, carpentry shop, welding & sheet metal shops under the guidance of well experienced and well trained faculty members.
