Physiotherapy is not unknown to human beings since last century but it is developed today as a full fledged profession & a multifaceted branch of health profession having an inseparable component of the most of the specialities of the modern medicine. It has got the role in reducing the mortality, but its major role in reducing the morbidity of human beings & giving a meaningful quality life, which is the highlight of the profession. It equally works in prevention, palliation & rehabilitation fields. Today, physiotherapists are working right from children to old age homes, ICCUs to sports grounds, research laboratories to disaster management in the fields & becoming the equal partners among healthcare professionals.

The Smt. Kashibai Navale College of Physiotherapy has been founded with the objective of bringing forth well-educated, informed and motivated physiotherapists equipped with ultramodern skills, who can contribute towards building up a physically healthy society by taking up the task of visualizing and designing for the human health with confidence and integrity. It is our primary objective to ensure the highest level of academic standards along with the spirit of creativity and growth in every individual. It is the endeavor of this institute to establish and nurture a heaven of academic excellence, creativity and personality development in which the budding physiotherapists can thrive. Thus we encourage our students to look at the world beyond mere academics by providing a wider exposure through a series of guest lectures and workshops by experts along with community programs in healthcare fields

Physiotherapy is an all-encompassing discipline and thus the education of a physiotherapist cannot be effectively accomplished in isolation from other related health sciences. The Sinhgad Technical Education Society already runs Medical College along with a 350 bedded General Hospital with ultramodern facilities for the diagnosis & the management of any health dysfunction that to most importantly in the same campus, which is a rare phenomenon in this Pune city which gives the opportunity to the students to be in touch with their teachers, laboratories, library & the patients all 24 hours.
