FIRST YEAR

– Understanding of Principles of Design in abstract

– Architectural Perception to develop series of compositions

– Ability to translate abstract principles of design into Architectural Solutions for simple problems



• SECOND YEAR

– Develop skills of analysis & evolve creative ideas

– Simple Architectural problems and their interdependency

– Space requirements for elderly & physically challenged

– 3-dimensional volumetric study of 2-dimensional form

– Study of basic materials



• THIRD YEAR

– Understanding relationship between plan, shape, forms

– Vertical & Horizontal circulation

– Site context – Topography, Physical Limitations

– Insight to use of modular shapes



• FOURTH YEAR

– To establish correspondence between ideas & constraints

– Understanding relationship between form, function & material

– To address issues of services & structure

– Study of development controls, urban infrastructure, socio economic, environmental & technological factors



• FIFTH YEAR

– Selection of Topic involving study, analysis & design

– Stages of Design process shall be development of brief, site selection, analysis, literature review, case studies, concept and detailed design

– Correlate & synthesize the abilities developed in parallel streams of technology & humanities
