Computer Science and Engineering shares the mission and vision of the institute in imparting high quality software education to the students. First, it is ensured that the student perceives the computer fundamentals thoroughly. Besides fulfilling the requirements of the syllabus prescribed by the Anna University, the program offers the students an opportunity to work on diverse hardware and software platforms.
On campus short term courses and technical lectures by eminent professors and professionals are arranged on a regular basis to broaden the knowledge spectrum of students. The state-of-the-art computer center has over 300 computers with the latest hardware and original software which provides adequate time on computers for all the students. The students are motivated for technical and creative activities besides classroom teaching and laboratory exercises through technical fests like "AKATOS". Association is formed related to the department in the name of "RACE" (Reverberate Association of Computer Engineers).
